Our Vision is to foster a stimulating and creative environment to help all children to settle and grow into independent thinkers. The Nursery will provide exciting, innovative care for children, in an environment that presents abundant opportunities for play, interaction and development, so they can have the best possible start in life.We will combine efforts with staff, parents, children and the community to provide all our children with a foundation of learning in a caring, safe stimulating environment.Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. The role of our nursery is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, we will teach to the needs of each child so that all children can feel capable and successful. We will present curriculum activities that involve the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life. We will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active learners.

We will work in partnership with parents, knowing the parent knows their child best. Parents have a central role in supporting the childs learning. A successful partnership needs a two-way flow of information, knowledge and skills.

We aim to achieve positive and useful relationships with the parents of the children in our care by:

Inviting parents to attend a welcome meeting before their child starts school.
Collecting information from parents about childrens previous learning experiences, and other relevant information.
To provide a high quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage document, and Every Child Matters.
Keeping parents informed about the coming terms work by sending home copies of timetables and topic webs.
Keeping parents informed about school and class events through letters in book bags and notices in the classroom.
Inviting parents to engage in a range of school activities, for example listening to children read in class joining us on trips, helping with specific activities in class,

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend parent evenings with their childs teacher this gives parents time to ask question or any concerns they may be feeling. At the end of the school year, parents receive a written report outlining their childs progress throughout the year.
